    WHAT THEY DID RIGHT

    1. Controlled Livestreams – Platforms such as Periscope can be a bit daunting for brands as everything is live and can put them at tremendous risk. However, these platforms are also incredibly valuable tools to communicate with a brand’s audience. As such, we recommend that the brand be present & filming the influencer for each livestream they partner on. Acura did just this and was able to effectively control the entire series while providing new & interesting content to their fans.

    On Periscope, Lesley introduces herself from the drivers seat of an Acura on day 1 of Sundance. She tells everyone who she is, where they may know her from, and everything she’s about to show.

    2. Real-Time Decisions – Acura leveraged both Periscope & Facebook’s LiveStream. During this time, they realized the videos on Facebook were outperforming those on Periscope and switched platforms.

    On Facebook Live, Lesley gave an exclusive look of the Acura studio, a 2017 130R White Acura NSX, encouraged people to come check it out, & follow Acura on all social platforms.

    3. The Right Influencer – Being live in front of the camera can be a challenge, so finding the right personality with the right audience is paramount to success. The Social Standard partnered Acura with Lesley Murphy who has experience as an actress, host & social media influencer. Her style & skill set was a perfect match.
