Ford Canada & The Social Standard teamed up in a 4 month partnership to help jumpstart 2016 with captivating content for their Instagram account and Instagram Carousel Ads. The Social Standard ultimately delivered 140 images with full digitals & social rights – this content library was created by 4 top Instagram Influencers.
Each influencer went on a 5 day shoot in a different region of Canada where they photographed a specific Ford vehicle.These influencers were responsible for bringing their own crew, scouting all locations & producing the entire shoot from start to finish.
To date, Ford Canada has run over 6 Instagram carousel ads with this content.

WHAT THEY DID RIGHT
1.Creative License– The brand gave each influencer guidelines & shot lists. However, they were incredibly open to the influencers capturing content that they thought would be most effective and as a result, they got some incredible images.
2.Leveraging Assets– This is the perfect example of brands leveraging content to the maximum on Instagram. When you partner with talented photographers, it’s a great option to use their content in ads. It also cements the brand as part of the Instagram community, not just an advertiser.
3.The Right Partners– Not all influencers are created alike. This collaboration required highly skilled influencers who were accostumed to scouting, producing & putting together a team for a destination shoot. Finding the right partners ensured high quality content that the brand could get the most out of.
4.Strong Experience– The Social Standard has strong experience in the automotive world and was able to assist Ford Canada on their first influencer initiative by guiding them on things such Talent Releases, Shot Lists, Licenses & more.
